What a snappy little device.... the SNAPPI!

I am rather convinced that perhaps plastic disposable diapers might never have been invented if the world had Snappi's rather than pins a long time ago.

I am not a fan of pre-fold diapers. Do they work? Yes. They are considered the work horse of all cloth diapers. Are they economical? The most economical type of cloth diaper you can buy. So, why don't I like them..

Bulk. Bunch. Cumbersome to put on. My husband, mother, daycare, I, hate the multi step process to put a prefold and cover on correctly so that it does its job. I know, I know... blah blah blah...

OK. So I broke down and got a Snappi. Three words can describe the Snappi I now own. I LOVE IT. Yep. I do. It has opened a whole new world of cloth diapering for me as a mom. It helps to cut down on the bulk of pre-fold and cover diaper systems. The diaper stays put and doesn't bunch. I actually used pre-folds and covers for an ENTIRE day the day I opened my Snappi because it was so fun!

Although Country Baby Diapers will most likely not offer a whole line of CPF's , I am considering making a third type of fitted diaper which does not fasten by either Velcro or snaps. A fitted diaper with a nice woven outer would close well with a Snappi. It would offer an even more customized fit for a fitted diaper, and would essentially eliminate the need for a "sized" fitted. A one-size fitted is even more economical than traditional fitted diapers.
