Fabric Storage Boxes CONTEST

Contest is now closed. Thanks to all who entered. Stay tuned for the results!

Original Post:

I used this tutorial to make this 6" storage box out of canvas and flannel this afternoon while my son napped and my daughter had some rest time on the couch. She states at the bottom of her blog post that they are addicting to make and I think she is going to be right. I'm already coming up with ways to make it larger so that I can line the top of my sewing shelf with them to store craft and sewing supplies.

My box is missing the 2.5 inch card stock to tell you what is inside and the vinyl window because I didn't have any vinyl on hand. My next boxes will have that feature. Also, since I will likely use this bin as a "clippings bin", I took a needle and thread and quickly sewed down the corners so the liner can't fall down when I tip the box to dump the contents. This may or may not have been necessary, but I felt I wanted to be thorough. Start to finish including cutting of the fabric was about 2hrs and this was my first time running through the tutorial so I imagine it will get faster as I go along.

You know you want one.. right? Right! Who couldn't use a little green organization in their house? Maybe you don't sew, or don't have time. No problem, you could win one RIGHT HERE just by commenting on this blog post. Complete rules below!

CONTEST RULES: You could win a fabric box in the color of your choice! To win, leave a comment to this blog post. That will get you 1 entry. Then if you want MORE chances to win, refer a friend to my blog and encourage them to leave a comment. Not only will that person get their own entry for commenting, but if they refer YOUR name as the person who sent them YOU get another entry. Contest will end at 12:45pm Tuesday January 19, 2010 with the randomly selected winner to be announced shortly after that.

Super cute, super fast, super useful, and for one lucky reader, SUPER FREE! Gotta love it!

Look at you, you crafty cat! It's too bad we don't live closer together. I always have projects going on my craft table or humming on my embroidery machine. I should take some pictures of the amazing craft table that craig made for me. It looks just like it walked out of the Pottery Barn catalog. I saved your blog site, I'll be reading often!

Oooooh So THIS is where I was supposed to comment! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE LOVE LOVE this box! I wish I had the talent and patience for the wonderful things I've seen you post. I've been on the hunt lately for something cute to organize Elliot's toys with and here you are making them! Keep up the good work!
