It takes a Village

We have wonderful neighbors. There is only one other house on our road and we are fortunate that they are very nice people. Their daughters, "Kay" and "Em" just adore Cece and Rex.

This evening while Cece and I were playing outside in the new blanket of snow, Kay came walking down the road. She had made presents for Cece and Rex!

Cece was so excited that she decided to go right in from playing outside and open her present and show Kay the house.

The presents, a knitted hat for Rex and a bracelet, ring, knitted hat and hand made sewn purse for Cece, were well received by the kids. Cece played the rest of the afternoon with the new treasures.

Kay's creativity and generosity prove that gifts from the heart need not be expensive, and I am so proud to have neighbors who are good role models for my kids as they grow.

It takes a village to raise a family, and I am pleased to be a part of this village.
