Oh to be this care-free

While working the other day on some diapers, Cece was upstairs playing in her room. This is something new for me, allowing her to play by herself upstairs without my supervision but as long as she keeps the door open and the windows are closed and locked and I'm doing something where I can hear the goings on I am letting her explore this new found independence. Anyway, she is at the top of the stairs and yells down "Mom! How do I look?"

She had found some leggings, a tank top, her tap shoes with no laces, my swim cap and a headband and was PRETTY DAMN PROUD of her new look! It was this moment when I really appreciated the value of being spontaneous!
